I’m Ric Hellmann, a professional executive leadership coach, husband, dad, and 24-year Navy veteran. I originally started Purpose Coaching to help leaders with their leadership struggles and challenges, as I was so familiar with from my experience in the Navy. However, I started to notice a pattern. For leaders who were also fathers, we spent a good majority of their coaching sessions diving into their perspective and purpose as a dad. From then on, I started offering dad coaching as well as executive leadership coaching.
When I left the Navy, I spent some time working in Corporate America while maintaining great relationships with my kids and wonderful wife. But, I always felt like I was meant to do something more than work a 9-5 job. I wanted to combine my love of leadership, coaching, and parenting into an entity that would do good for people. That’s when I started Purpose Coaching.
My Training and Experience
Before pursuing Purpose Coaching full-time, I completed professional coach training through the CoActive Training Institute. I also got certified through the International Coaching Federation. The skills I learned there, combined with my Navy leadership experience, allow me to effectively listen to my clients and strategize goals to get them closer to the dad they know they can be.
My goal is to help you attain a greater awareness of yourself and work towards a different you. Who you want to be.
